The term landscape is a concept devised by man, defined by viewing but interpreted by the culture. Art helps understanding and knowledge of our implications "of any kind" with the world we inhabit and has had different interpretations throughout history, depending on cultural contexts, scientific and the social development of each epoch. The landscape as a pictorial genre, has often been the chronicler of man’s relationship with nature becoming more relevant in the cultural moment in which man feels more integrated and in communion with it, which coincides with other forms of cultural expression. The landscape, therefore, is linked to the history of cultures, working to a better understanding of the human condition, its moments and changes. The idea of a garden has also accompanied our culture since ancient times, manifesting our need to interact and connect with nature in order to make the natural environment a place where man can live, meet and communicate, with its elements reflecting the idea of the universe according to the season. The garden appears at the instant you try to unite join the wellbeing of body and soul, in a small, calm area enveloped by plant life –a micro universe within man’s reach.
