As transformações sociais que ocorremno âmbito político, económico, cultural e outros, colocam novos desafios àsinstituições e organizações de todo o tipo, incluindo a universidade. Comoentidade pública, a Universidade tem, entre outras funções, a de assegurar àsociedade o acesso a todas as informações sobre sua origem, trajetória efuncionamento, reafirmando, desta forma, a sua importância estratégica naconstrução de saberes e da cidadania. A organização, a preservação e a divulgação dosacervos contribuirão para pesquisas que tenham como objeto de estudo a produçãodo conhecimento gerado na Universidade grosso modo, e, por conseguinte,um aspecto de relevante importância para a compreensão da trajetória daconstrução do pensamento científico, cultural, artístico, musical e tecnológiconacional. Procurando a conciliação entre o passado e o futuro, avetusta Universidade de Coimbra adaptou-se aos novos tempos, graças a umsentido de renovação fundamental que incluiu as Humanidades e as Artes e nestasa Música, tendo como suporte as determinações estatutárias que regeram o seufuncionamento. Salientamos,pois, a importância da preservação da memória técnico-científica e cultural daUniversidade para o fortalecimento de sua identidade institucional.Thetransformations occurring in the different vectors of reality (politics,society, economy, culture and others) pose new challenges to the institutionsand organizations of all kinds, including the respective colleges andUniversity. As a public entity, the University has, among other functions, toensure the access to all information about its origin, history and operation,reaffirming, its strategic importance in the construction of knowledge and of citizenship.The Organization, preservation and disclosure of holdings will contribute toresearch that has as object of study the production of knowledge generated atthe University in General, and therefore an aspect of relevant importance tounderstanding the trajectory of construction of scientific thought, cultural,artistic, musical and national technological. Looking for conciliation betweenthe past and the future, the same ancient University of Coimbra has adapted tothe new times, thanks to a sense of fundamental renewal which included thehumanities and the arts and in music, having supported the statutory provisionswhich governed its operation. We stress the importance of preserving thetechnical-scientific and cultural memory of the University to strengthen itsinstitutional identity.Downloads
